Recent Lujo Records signees A Lull have only been a band since 2008, but the trio of Nigel Evan Dennis, Mike Brown, and Todd Miller certainly show a lot of promise. “Think Beulah meets Aloha” writes the press release of their recent Ice Cream Bones EP; while I don’t think they’re quite that caliber yet, I don’t see why they couldn’t be in the very near future. At just over eleven minutes, Ice Cream Bones is much too short, ending before the listener is truly satisfied with the experience. Lead single “Skinny Fingers” is perhaps the best representation of the band’s sound, but “Little Echoes” has been my favorite as of late. Listen to both after the jump.
