New Moving Mountains Song On Myspace [News]

moving-mountains Moving Mountains recently added a new song to their myspace called “Can’t Afford The Color.” It’s a cover of a song originally preformed by Justin Veatch, who passed away in late 2008. After the jump, you can read a statement from the band concerning the new song and a scholarship program being set up in Veatch’s name.

So you may have noticed the new song I posted on our player. It was written by Justin Veatch, of the Ivoryton Piano Factory. Sadly, in late 2008, Justin passed away, leaving us with his music and memories to aspire too. Not only was Justin an insanely talented musician, but a beloved friend to the band.

Justin’s family has been creating a scholarship program in his memory, along with a compilation record of his music including covers by Owen, Circa Survive, Boys Night Out, and many others. I was honored to be apart of this project, and I hope that you all take some time to visit Justin’s myspace where you can stream the amazing music he was able to create that touched all of us very deeply.

Also, be sure to visit the link below, which includes more information on the fund.

This is a great version of Justin’s original by an artist Justin admired greatly both on a personal and professional level. It will be included in the upcoming compilation CD “Permagrin: The Music of Justin Veatch” being released in July.
