The Boy Least Likely To are preparing to release a collection of b-sides, entitled The Best B-Sides Ever, to select stores. I’ve heard very few of the songs included, so I can’t wait to get my hands on this. Below, I’ve included one of the tracks: “When I Grow Up I Want To Be A Boy Again.” Head after the jump to see the full tracklisting. It’s a shame they didn’t include their cover of “You’re The One That I Want” from Grease, being such a great song and all (head here to listen to it).
A new remix of Shawn Chrystopher‘s track “Watching Me” is making its rounds, this one featuring Donnis. The track is self-produced by Shawn, and the original can be found on the upcoming Students of the Culture compilation.
Shawn Chrystopher’s debut album, A City With No Seasons, is out August 11th.
Rx Bandits are set to release their new album, Mandala, on July 21st, and to get everyone ready for it they’ve begun to release some new songs. You can listen to “Bring Our Children Home” below, or go here to download it. Also, if you visit the band’s myspace, you can hear “Hope Is a Butterfly, No Net Its Captor.”
D.Julien‘s new project, Live, Love, Learn, is scheduled to drop July 1st, but that’s still just over a month away. Instead of leaking tracks from that project, he’s letting loose with tracks that aren’t on it. “Horizon” is one of those tracks. Produced by King I Divine, this track’s got a nice summer vibe to it, and if you like what you hear, download his previous album, The Experiment, here.
Charles Hamilton‘s album This Perfect Life comes out June 23rd for free. Below, you can listen to a song called “Rosado” featuring Aja-Monet, which is about Charles’ favorite color – pink. The song’s a little weak, definitely not Hamilton’s best effort but I’m still expecting some great things from This Perfect Life.
Jet Audio released another track from his upcoming The Stand Alone Complex, this one featuring Naledge. Any track that samples Phoenix is good in my book, but regardless of that fact – this track is worth a listen. Make sure you pick up The Stand Alone Complex when it comes out, as Jet Audio has lined up appearances from The Kid Daytona, Mickey Factz, Emilio Rojas, Outasight and more.
Mickey Factz recently signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, and now he’s getting ready to release The Achievement. Below, you can hear “Who’s Hotter?” produced by Dot Da Genius (the same man behind KiD CuDi’s “Day N Nite”).
